They applied for the project 8 years ago. They started with 100 hives and increased the number to 250 hives with the support they received from ARDSI. Adding equipment, they have become able to package the honey they produce. Later they bought the brand “Harşena”. They won their first prize in 2017 in the 45th Apimondia International Beekeeping Congress held in Istanbul with the participation of 110 countries, winning the third place in the category of “Polyfloral (containing more than one plant) Flower Honey”. Increasing the quality of the honey they have been producing day by day, they achieved the first place in the “Karakovan Honey” category and the third place in the “Crystallized Honey” category in the 46th Apimondia International Beekeeping Congress organized by International Federation of Beekeepers in Canada this year. They came first among 600 producers attending the Beekeeping Congress from different regions of the world. They have stated that they will continue to boost Turkey’s fame in the whole world with the honey they produce and through the support they receive. It is an example of good practice that benefited from supports under IPARD.
