A workshop was organized by the Elazığ Beekeepers Association on October 28, 2023 at Elazığ Akgün Hotel to discuss the possinble negative consequences of climate change on the production of “Geven Honey “, which is an economic asset for the region and our country. Representatives of the IPARD Managing Authority participated in the workshop.
The beekeeping sector is covered by the IPARD Programme and is supported under the “Diversification of Farm Activities” measure. Within this scope, micro and small–scale investors are offered grants ranging from 60% to 75% for their eligible expenditures of 5,000 to 500,000 euros.
Managing Authority staff visited the Local Action and Development Association of Rafahiye (REFYEKDER) in Erzincan and the Local Action Group of Alacakaya-Arıcak (ARAL) in Elazığ, Kovancılar LAG and Baskil LAG on the occasion of Geven Balı Festival, and exchanged views on the activities carried out.
