The representatives of the General Directorate of Agriculture Reform, acting as the IPARD Managing Authority, and ARDSI, acting as the IPARD Agency conducted a study visit to the Slovenian Paying Agency on 14-18 November 2023 within the scope of the "IPARD II Programme Technical Assistance Project"

During the visit, Head of the Slovenian Rural Development Department delivered a presentation on the functioning of the Rural Development Programme, control and management processes, facilitating the use of funds, simplifying the documents used in administrative controls before payment, and diversifying the financing instruments. Information was shared about the management structure of agriculture and rural development and the application processes.
It was expressed that software such as Electronic Application System and Payment System are used from the project application stage until the final payments are made, data can be extracted from government institutions through the software system, and this system speeds up the control process and saves from labour force.
On the second day of the programme, field visits were made to good practices of investment projects supported by the paying agency through Rural Development Programmes

On the last day of the visit, a courtesy visit was paid to the TURKISH EMBASSY IN LJUBLJANA. In completion of the study visit, a technical assessment meeting was held with the participation of the IPARD Managing Authority technical staff and ARDSI staff.
