The meeting on the structuring activities of the Common Agricultural Policy Network (NRN), which will cover 81 provinces, was held on August 29, 2023 at the Koca Seyit Meeting Hall of the Balıkesir Governorate

Representatives of all institutions and organizations related to the agricultural policies of the provinces and regions as well as stakeholders come together at the meetings that last for 4 days and in which the functioning, goals and objectives of the CAP NETWORK are shared

On the first day of the meetings held in Balıkesir, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry National Rural Network and LEADER Coordinator Şenay Sevengör, Phd. and Project Expert Mahmut Biçer visited the Governorship of Balıkesir and informed the authorities. On the same day; Balıkesir Provincial Agriculture and Forestry Director Mr. Erkan ALKAN, ARDSI Provincial Coordinator Mr. Murat Kaz and Development Agency Rural Economy Development ROP Unit Head Mr. Kerem ÖNER were visited and the current agricultural profile of the region was discussed

Following the information and evaluation meeting held with the Governor of Balıkesir, Mr. Ismail USTAOGLU at the Governornorate of Balıkesir on the second day; under the coordination of the Deputy Governor of Balikesir, Mr. Mustafa ÇEK, a meeting was held with the participation of the Provincial Coordinator of Balıkesir ARDSI, Mr. Murat KAZ, the Provincial Director of Civil Society Relations of Balıkesir, Mr. Eyüp FİDAN, the Representative of the Bandirma Sheep Breeding Research Institute, Mr. Deniz KOTILOĞLU, the representative of the South Marmara Development Agency, Mr. Emine AKTUĞ and the Representative of the Metropolitan Municipality of Balıkesir, Mr. Ekrem YÜCE and the EU and Foreign Relations Bureau staff of the Balıkesir Governorate. During the meeting, ministry experts delivered presentations to the representatives of the institutions and organizations previously met, and their comments were received.
On the third day, the focus group meeting with the participation of liaison representatives from provincial organizations of Ministries in Balıkesir province and LAG representatives in the province, following the establishment of the responsibilities of institutions and organizations related to the Common Agricultural Policy Network, will be held in the meeting hall of the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry at 10:30. Moreover, on the same day; the stakeholder meeting, where all the actors of the region in the field of agriculture such as farmers, academics, cooperative and union representatives, private sector representatives take part, will be held at Balıkesir Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry at 14:00.

COMMON AGRICULTURAL POLICY (CAP) NETWORK
The national rural network aims to ensure effective implementation of rural development policies and offer new approaches for rural development. It also aims to ensure the participation of all stakeholders and protect the integrity of local cultural values while implementing rural development policies.
