As the EU Structural Adjustment Management Authority team, in order to implement the LEADER Approach more effectively and efficiently, Local Action Groups were visited at the Local Action Groups (YEG) locations in Çorum Province on October 20-21, 2022 to assess the current situation and implementation processes of Local Action Groups.
Within the scope of these two-day visits, Çorum Provincial Agriculture and Forestry Deputy Director Mr. Erdem KOLABAŞ and ARDSI Çorum Provincial Coordinator Mr. Mustafa MANSUR YALVAÇER were visited in their offices; information was shared about the activities of LAGs established in Çorum. Then, the association offices in Ortaköy Şapinuva LAG and İskilip LAG districts were visited, accompanied by ARDSI Experts Cem AKŞİT and Aytekin DENİZ.
Ortaköy Şapinuva Kadesh LAG Specialist Abdullah ERGİN, Ortaköy Municipality employee and LAG volunteer Recep ERGİN stated that they provided material support to the sports club in the district in 2022; they also noted that they have realized the construction of Tourist Reception and information boards, Incesu Canyon direction boards and the Footed Binoculars built on Seyir Tepe for Şapinuva archaeological site, which is one of the places with tourism potential in the region.
İskilip YEG President Mustafa S. ÇORUMLU, LAG Specialist Murat KÖSE and Duygu YILDIZ TAHYACI stated that they provided material support to the Sports Club in 2022, they carried out the renovation of the Kayaağzı village mukhtar's office as part of a small project
activity, and they also carried out a small project activity for the installation of Hittite gastronomy and walking track boards.
An exchange of ideas was realized with the association's experts about the activities carried out by the LAGs in accordance with the YKS they have prepared, the work of the National Rural Network (NRN), problems and expectations.
